Oh the beauty of Unity!!!...... It helps us achieve such greatness and heights when we speak with one voice... However, the point of caution is “what are we United about?”, “Is it according to God’s will?”, “Are we United to deliver God’s mandate?”. Sometimes people congregate in disobedience and yet it appears to be a great thing because every one is speaking one voice. We must always check our anchor in God to be certained that the unity is the right company and towards the right purpose. The Bible says that the companion of fools shall be destroyed. In the Bible reading today, God acknowledged that the Unity of the earth at the time meant that nothing will be restrained from them. Yet he decided to scatter them. It’s not because he was scared that they will come up to him.... In my opinion; it was more because the gathering was a contravention of his previous instruction in Genesis 9:1 where he mandated them to replenish the earth. So rather than scatter to replenish the earth.. the gathering was more of a taking away, building up blocks to congregate which ultimately would have had consequences for them and the generations after. So the next time you are in agreement with someone or a group of people, check that it’s an agreement that is aligned with the purpose of God for your life.... If not, then scatter!!! Unity outside God’s will has DANGER written all over it. Prayer, Dear God, please open my heart and eyes to discern agreements that are within your will so that I can thrive and flourish in the place of unity🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
