God’s ways are not our ways and his thoughts are uniquely different from ours as humans. Our God is the Master chess player of the universe because like the game of chess, some moves are difficult to understand and may catch the opponent and even a supporter unawares until the call of ‘checkmate’ happens suddenly. Such was the story in the Bible reading today. God hardened the heart of Pharaoh to chase after the Isrealites to bring them back into servitude. As soon as the Isrealites saw them they panicked and started saying all sorts but we know that the story ended with the Egyptians in the belly of the Red Sea when the Isrealites walked on dry ground in the midst of the sea. As children of God, we see some challenges brewing and we start to question God. Asking How he could let that happen or wondering if he has forgotten us. Sometimes it’s just God asking for your complete trust because like the chess game he already has the perfect move planned out and suddenly his salvation will come through in unexpected ways. Does it look like the dust of challenges are gathering, take the matter to Jehovah Sabbaoth and hold your peace. But most importantly move forward at his word in complete trust of the great deliverer.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are always mindful of me and even when I don’t understand it, you have my victory path orchestrated. Please give me the grace to trust you completely and align with your instructions so that I can see your salvation 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
