Mercy speaks against judgement

“And when the angel stretched out his hand upon Jerusalem to destroy it, the Lord repented him of the evil, and said to the angel that destroyed the people, It is enough: stay now thine hand. And the angel of the Lord was by the threshingplace of Araunah the Jebusite.” 2 Samuel 24:16 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/2sa.24.16.kjv

Mercy speaks against judgement

God’s mercy speaks against judgement. It is a critical requirement for any one that they are a candidate of God’s mercies. In the Bible reading today, David had numbered Isreal and God was angry and he brought pestilence on the Land. However in the verse of the today’s reading after the angel that was destroying the land had killed seventy thousand men, when it got to Jerusalem’s turn God changed his mind and caused the angel to stop. Mercy spoke in the place of judgement and they were saved from the doom that had affected the whole of Isreal. Again the Lord says that he will have mercy on whom he would have mercy on. As individuals, our top prayer should always be that indeed like the grace that we often share at the end of prayers that ‘Surely, Goodness and Mercy follows you all the days of your life.

Prayer: Dear Lord, please have mercy in me. Let me be a candidate of your mercy at all times. Let me not be caught up in the judgement as a result of my actions or the action of others in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
