Our help is in the name of the Lord

“I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.” Psalm 121:1-2 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/psa.121.1-2.kjv

Our help is in the name of the Lord

Who is the source of your help? The Psalmist in the Bible Reading today identified the creator Heaven and earth, the Lord God Almighty as his help. When David thought about the story of his life, he recognized that He had been held us by the hands of God, through the good and the bad times. And because he recognized his source, we know that he was always careful to seek directions from his source and follow His instructions to the letter. That is why in Psalm 118:6 he is able to say “The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?”. Question today is: Can you truly make bold to say that God is on your side? Is he completely your source of help? Or do you have back-pocket alternatives when God’s instructions seem too hard?

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for being an ever present help in ages past. I look up to you. You have helped me in the past, please help me again. I receive the grace for complete obedience to your instructions so that I can boldly say that the Lord is indeed on my side 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
