The ball is in your court. God has expectations of us for him to dwell with us and in us. In the Bible reading today, Solomon and the children of Isreal were building the temple of God which his father David so desperately wanted to build for God but which God asked him not to. It was such a magnificent edifice with ready-to-install items brought to site and it took 7 years to complete the building. It must have indeed been a beauty to behold. However, despite the potential magnificence of the temple, while building God spoke to Solomon to remind him of key requirements to ensure that the temple was not just not empty house without the in-dwelling of God’s presence. The requirements were straightforward - keep God’s statutes, execute His judgments and obey His commandments. So what does this mean for you and I? It’s not enough to bring the best gifts to God or invest in Kingdom projects. To get the full benefits of these kingdom investments, you must live a life of complete obedience to God. Remember the Bible tells us that our God is not mocked. So, before you say that there are no benefits from sowing into God’s assignment, check that you are fulfilling all requirements.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your faithfulness and for being mindful of me. Thank you for the privilege to support kingdom activities. Father, I come humbly in total surrender to your instructions so that I can indeed benefit from the multiplier effect upon my givings that comes with your presence in me and my dealings 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
