The justification experience

“And Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, As the Lord God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word. And the word of the Lord came unto him, saying, Get thee hence, and turn thee eastward, and hide thyself by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan.” 1 Kings 17:1-3 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/1ki.17.1-3.kjv

The justification experience

The ways of God are often incomprehensible by the logic of men. It’s interesting to note in the Bible reading that Elijah who commanded that there be no dew or rain for a period until his word was now instructed by God to go ‘hide’. Sometimes God authorizes a hiding to preserve destiny or to complete a specific assignment. Elijah’s hiding and subsequent journey led him into the life of the widow of Zarepath to preserve her life and that of her son. A similar story occurred in the New Testament when Jesus was being arrested and Peter drew his sword and cut off the ear of High Priest’s servant. Jesus cautioned him, reminding him of the Legions of angels he has access to but that he (Jesus) had to go through the process for the scripture to be fulfilled. It was a justification experience for the covering that the blood provides for generation of believers after. He paid the ultimate price to make a publish show of the Devil and his principalities and to purchase the eternal redemption of those who believe in Him. So what process are you going through which might look like a ‘cowering’ by the definitions of men? Some may even question if the Lord is still with you or if truly you were ever God’s prophet. Stand firm, if God is in it then the ultimate purpose of God shall be revealed in a grand way. Wait on God for the justification process.

Prayer: Thank you God for who you are. Father, please lead me and order my steps according to your will. Help me to fulfill every unique assignment you have placed before me in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
