Title 139

“I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed. The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them. Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.” Psalm 34:4-5, 7, 19 KJV https://www.bible.com/1/psa.34.4-5,7,19.kjv

Title 139

The psalmist in today’s reading acknowledges that there are challenges that come to the righteous. Righteous living means that you may be in the way of those who want to commit atrocities and they certainly would not take that lightly. So living righteously does not eliminate challenges. However it comes with an assurance that no matter what the challenge looks like, your ally whose stand you have taken, the Almighty God will always come through for you. He delivers the righteous from all their fears. When they shift their gaze from the storms and challenges around them to the all-sufficient one, there is a peace that stems from within and their faces are brightened because there is an assurance that there will be no shame. It does not matter what you are going through, if you live right and fear God and fellowship with him, He will come through for you. Halleluyah!!! Prayers: Dear God, I trust in you and as such I will be still and watch you fight my battles and utterly consume all the enemies of my soul in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
