Title 361

“Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the Lord your God. And ye shall keep my statutes, and do them: I am the Lord which sanctify you. And ye shall be holy unto me: for I the Lord am holy, and have severed you from other people, that ye should be mine.” Leviticus 20:7-8, 26 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/lev.20.7-26.kjv

Title 361

Are you meeting the expectations of sonship? The Bible tells us that “Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity” 2 Tim 2:19. In the Bible reading today, God was reminding the Isrealites, amongst the details of things they could not do, that ultimately God’s expectation is Holiness. And so, given that God’s foundation is established forevermore and that he is able to recognize his own by the seal of righteousness and holiness upon them, so the question is: Does God recognize you right now? Or are you so stained in the mud and blemish of sin through carelessness or intentional defiance to the point where he cannot behold you? Remember our God cannot behold iniquities. So, if you are unsure of what he might find then ask God for mercy today and turn back to his guidelines and statutes.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your Loving kindness. Thank you for calling me your own. Please Lord, have mercy on me for any ways that I have not been living up to your dictates for holy living. Please help me through your word and the promptings of the Holy Spirit to live above sin in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
