“Beloved, thou doest faithfully whatsoever thou doest to the brethren, and to strangers; Demetrius hath good report of all men, and of the truth itself: yea, and we also bear record; and ye know that our record is true.” 3 John 1:5, 12 KJV https://www.bible.com/1/3jn.1.5,12.kjv
“..... How can I love Jesus when I have never seen his face, yet I see you dying and I turn and walk away....”. Those are extracts from a very popular song and buttresses what the Bible says in Matt 25:40 that when you take care of the least of his brethren, you take care of God. Even the story of the Good Samaritan in the Bible amongst others speak to the need to extend acts of kindness to those around us as a service to God. As we go about our activities today, let’s consciously seek out opportunities to build up our Heavenly resume by extending an act of kindness - a gift, a smile, a kind word, a word of prayer.... - to a representative of God - the people around us. But remember, it has to be done with the right heart as the Bible records about King Amaziah who did all that was right in God’s sight but with the wrong heart..... God sees right through your heart ... So the right heart + right act = Heaven’s credit..
Prayer: Dear God, as I go forth today, please open my eyes to opportunities to please you by lending a helping hand to someone today 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
