“And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.” Genesis 2:16-17 KJV https://www.bible.com/1/gen.2.16-17.kjv
.... And Samson woke up thinking he’ll go out and shake himself free as usual, but he did not know that the Lord had departed from him (Judges 16:20). The spiritual controls the physical but the physical is the tangible thing that most people can relate to. Hence, when receiving some spiritual instructions and warnings of consequences, people often take it for granted. Or sometimes live on the edge and test one foot out but do not see “the consequences” and so they eventually take the plunge only to see a significant downward spiral in some aspects of their life. At the point of challenges it is apparent that there has been a disconnect from the protector, but what was not realized is that it happened from the time the disobedience occurred. There was just a lag in the manifestation, sometimes because God is giving a chance for a quick retreat back to His ways. God gave an instruction to man in the garden of Eden not to eat of the specific fruit else they die. Well, much later, Eve after eating the fruit offered it to Adam. Of course she had not died physically and he also after eating it did not die physically. However the spiritual being in them and by extension the connection to the spiritual source had died; and the life of bliss and pleasure in the garden was replaced with a life of toiling and ultimately a physical death along with a host of other things like strife which never existed before. There are so many examples of this even in present days. So the question today is “Are you leaving on the edge?”, “have you crossed the line?”. Don’t take God’s Grace for granted.. Trace your way back today and ask for his mercy.
Prayer: Dear Lord, I ask for your mercy for any way I may have or am still living outside your will. Please restore me and deliver me from death🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
