Written in the book of life?

“And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” Revelation 20:12, 15 KJV https://www.bible.com/1/rev.20.12,15.kjv

Written in the book of life?

“Is your name written in the book of Life?”. That would be the most important question at the event that heralds eternity. In today’s reading, we read that at the judgement throne of God, the books will be opened. And then the book of life will be opened. As someone said “We live life in crumbs but we leave a trail”. Everything we do is recorded and as we have read, the dead will be judged by their works as recorded in the books. However, regardless of how we lived our lives previously, an encounter with the saving grace of Jesus blots out those things, nailed to cross and redeemed by his blood (Colossians 2:14). Most importantly he writes our names in the book of life - The criteria to eternal joy and an escape from eternal damnation. So the question today is a pre-amble to that final one. Is your name in the book of Life? If you cannot answer that question in the affirmative because there is that tinge of doubt somewhere in the back of mind, then ask God for mercy today. Accept him into your life or rededicate your life back to him. He paid the price... Enjoy the benefit of that pre-payment by taking the bold step today and continuing there in. Halleluyah!!!

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your saving Grace bought by the blood of Jesus on the cross of Calvary. I accept your redemption. Please keep me faithful and true until the very end. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
