Are you a Light?
“I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles; to open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house. I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.” Isaiah 42:6-8 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/isa.42.6-8.kjv

The Bible tells the believer that you are light to the world and no one lights a candle and then hides it. The purpose of the light is to help the path and journey of others for safety and to guide them to their destinations. In the Bible reading today, the Lord talks about calling his people in righteousness and guide them for the very purpose of being a light to the gentiles, the unbelieving. Why? To bring those that are imprisoned in ignorance and sin out into freedom and to open the eyes of those that are not seeing. Regardless of where you find yourself in life’s marketplace that is your mandate as a child of God. You don’t have to be on the pulpit to be the light. So the question today is: Are you helping others in darkness around you to see the way through the light of God manifested in your life and ways? Do your choices glorify God and show to the world his glory? If not, then retrace your steps. You are crafted for a purpose. Be true to your purpose.
Prayer: Dear Lord thank you because you are an intentional God who does as it pleases you. Please Lord I come before you afresh asking you to open my eyes to the opportunities to let your light shine through me, in my life and craft to the glory of your name and your name alone and help me to live a life that is pleasing to you always in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
