What example are you to those around you? Are you an example of one that is blessed and nurtured by God? Or are you an example of the ‘beloved’ of God who is being punished for going astray? The Bible tells us that he who stands needs to take heed lest he falls. The higher the pedestal that God puts you, the higher the impact of a fall. May we not fall out of God’s grace in Jesus name.  In today’s Bible reading, God in his anger was rebuking Israel and pronouncing judgement on them for their many abominations. Because he had singled them out over time amongst the nations around them as the beloved of God, the sins that they now committed was a significant reproach to God especially given his vested interest in Israel. And so he was going to display his judgement on them for all to see.  Are you on a pedestal of glory and grace, elevated by God? Then you must be careful to always be a true kingdom ambassador. Recall that the whole purpose of man is to point glory to God. When he lifts you up, it’s for his glory. Never forget. Unfortunately, when you are lifted up you start to attract all sorts of people including the polluters and corruptors. Be careful. Take your stand in representation of the divine mandate upon your life. 

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your love and faithfulness towards your own always. Thank you for the gift of the Holy Spirit to provide guidance. Please Lord, help me to always remain discerning in my spirit so that I don’t wander out of your presence through the lure of sin and compromise in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
