Are you anchored to your source?
“When thou hast eaten and art full, then thou shalt bless the LORD thy God for the good land which he hath given thee. Beware that thou forget not the LORD thy God, in not keeping his commandments, and his judgments, and his statutes, which I command thee this day:” Deuteronomy 8:10-11 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/deu.8.10-11.kjv

Do you remember the journey to the promise? Do you remember the giver and creator? Or are you carried away by the gift and creation? A healthy sense of history is important to ensure that we remain anchored to our source. This was the warning that Moses gave to the Israelites in today’s Bible reading. Knowing that there was a risk of getting carried away and feeling self-sufficient when everything is going great, they were warned not to forget the Lord and his commandments. They were reminded that it’s the Lord that gives power to make wealth and so anything they would ever become came from God. So, do you remember? Are you conscious? Do your priorities reflect this? God is indeed the one who gives power to make wealth.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are the God who is plenteous in mercies and the lifter up our hands. Lord, I thank you for the journey of my life so far. Please help me to know you more and grant me the discipline to prioritize the things of the kingdom always in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
