Are you eating an abomination?
“And they smote the Philistines that day from Michmash to Aijalon: and the people were very faint. And the people flew upon the spoil, and took sheep, and oxen, and calves, and slew them on the ground: and the people did eat them with the blood. Then they told Saul, saying, Behold, the people sin against the Lord, in that they eat with the blood. And he said, Ye have transgressed: roll a great stone unto me this day.” 1 Samuel 14:31-33 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/1sa.14.31-33.kjv
The Bible tells us that if you faint in the day of adversity then your strength is few. In the battles of life, it is important that we build our strength in advance by feeding on the word of God and praying and fasting consistently. The danger of not doing that is that in the face of battle you may be in dire need that you now take contaminated food like the Isrealites in the Bible reading today. They ate animals with the blood which was an abomination to them because they were so hungry and tired from battle. So many Christians have turned to soothsayers and “quick fixers” based on advice from friends in the face of battles that they were confronted with. This is often because they had not pre-loaded very well in advance of the battle. Job faced challenges but refused to deny or curse God. So, the question today is, how loaded are you on heaven’s resources?
Prayer: Dear Lord, please show me your ways and teach me thy paths that I may be strengthened for life 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
