Are you Faithful to God's covenant?
“The Lord did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people: But because the Lord loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath the Lord brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt. Know therefore that the Lord thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;” Deuteronomy 7:7-9 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/deu.7.7-9.kjv

Are you a source and preserver of a generational blessing? God loves Israel so much and made a note of it so many times in the Bible. However, it was not just arbitrary. He would always remind Israel that he was tolerant of the so many ills they did because of the covenants that he had made with their fathers of faith. Their fathers starting with Abraham had walked with God and followed his commandments to the point that God made covenants with them to cover generations yet unborn. However, he would always warn the Israelites like in the Chapter of the Bible reading today that they had a responsibility to continue in obedience so that they don’t provoke him to anger. Specifically, they were not to follow other Gods because that is an express route to God’s displeasure. Some Christians are enjoying the results of the prayers of their own matriarchs and patriarchs but have a duty to pass on the coverage to the next generation. So, are you preserving the promise? Are you making new covenants for your children by a complete obedience and commitment to God to the point where he is willing to preserve your generations yet unborn? Every day is a dot in that path that leads to generational blessings or generations curses. Choose wisely.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are a faithful God, keeping your covenants from one generation to another. Please Lord, help me to walk before you always that my generations may be preserved in you in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
