Are you in tune with God?
”Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins. Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways, as a nation that did righteousness, and forsook not the ordinance of their God: they ask of me the ordinances of justice; they take delight in approaching to God.“ Isaiah 58:1-2 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/isa.58.1-2.kjv

Is your service and fellowship acceptable to God? Does it follow the format that he expects of you? The Bible is full of promises for those who serve God and do his will. However, the one who scores the service is the one to whom it is rendered. The Bible tells us that the foundation of the Lord stands sure having the seal that the Lord knows those that are his. So it is not just about going through the motions but to be sure that it is a sacrifice that is indeed acceptable. If you recall that in the early days of creation, both Abel and Cain sacrificed to God and that of Abel was accepted because it was offered as a premium while that of Cain was rejected. The Bible reading today shows God asking the prophet Isaiah to spotlight to Israel their transgressions. Meanwhile, they were seeking God daily and approaching him in delight and wondering why their prayers were not being answered. God then points them to the rest of the chapter on what an acceptable service is. Not just the main act of seeking God but also the follow on aspect of being the image of God to the helpless and needy around them amongst other things. So, are you looking to God for some intervention or fulfillment of promises? Then first consider if your service is in line with the spec of the Lord to whom it is rendered.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are a gracious God who always creates a means to draw close to you. Please Lord open my eyes to see any aspects in which my service and worship may not be acceptable to you and give me the grace to amend my ways so that your delight in me will be evident to all in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
