Our God is interested in every detail of our battles and victory. The Bible says that you will hear a voice behind you telling you when to turn left and right. We are also informed in the Bible that God reveals to us precept upon precept. As children of God, we need to be careful not to run a marathon with the instructions that have been given for a sprint or just for the first leg of the marathon. Life’s journeys has so many twists and turns and so we need fresh instructions every step of the way even when the situation appears to be identical. David mastered the principle so much as seen in the Bible reading today.  The Philistines had come up to fight with him and he asked God for instructions and God authorized him to go forward. He won that leg of the battle but soon enough the Philistines were back. Similar context, but David asked again to be sure and this time God told him not to go like the first time but instead changed the strategy and also assured him that God had gone ahead to fight the battle on his behalf. The walk of a disciple with God requires regular check-in. Some people have lost out on life’s victories because one they started the race, they did not check back to confirm that the instruction was still the same.  Remember the admonition from the Bible to Trust in the Lord with all your heart and he will direct out path. 

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are the all-knowing God, the Alpha and Omega. I commit afresh to seek your guidance. Please Lord, let your words be available to me always so that I don’t make mistakes in the journey of life 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
