“O LORD, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth. For thou hast made of a city an heap; of a defenced city a ruin: a palace of strangers to be no city; it shall never be built. Therefore shall the strong people glorify thee, the city of the terrible nations shall fear thee. For thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.” Isaiah 25:1-4 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/isa.25.1-4.kjv

Our God does great wonders. However, these wonders mean different things to different people. In the Bible reading today, we see that while God’s wonders shows significant intervention for the needy in some cases, it translates to some defenced and strong cities being consumed until the city of the terrible nations fear him. The Bible tells us that cursed is that one that puts his trust in man and the strength of flesh. He gives grace to the humble and resists the proud.  Hence, complete trust and dependence on God is required to see his wonders manifest for our good. So question for you today is: Do you meet God’s specifications?

Prayer: Dear Lord, I come before you today seeking for your grace and help. Thank you because you are the defender of the helpless. Please intervene in my situation and arise for my defense until the whole acknowledges your Lordship in my life in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾. ‎
