Learn to check-in with God. He loves to be in the details. In fact, he wants to be the Lord of the details not an associate. The Bible tells us to trust in the Lord with all our hearts and not to lean on our own understanding. He asks that we acknowledge him in all our ways and he will direct our paths. In today’s Bible reading, the Israelites were continuing their take over and they sought God afresh to confirm who should go after the enemy first. For people who have already been given the land, you would wonder why they cared about who went first.  God answered and said that Judah should go first. If he gave an answer then he cares about the question. We must be intentional in checking with God on details of our lives because the beauty of a divinely guided life is that his leading takes you through paths that exceed your human logic or expectation. If in doubt, recall the story of Peter who got a net breaking miracle after Jesus instructed him to launch out into the deep on the very day that he experienced a fish drought prior. God’s ways are past telling. Learn to trust in him.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your faithfulness always. Thank you because you own the cattle on the thousand hills. Thank you because you know the end from the beginning. I look to you afresh. Please come through for me and guide me in the details of my life into a beautiful expression of your glory in me in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾. ‎
