Do you remember? The story is told of the king’s servant in the Bible who was forgiven his debt by his master but who got the debt reinstated and he was put in jail till he could raise the money for the debt repayment. This unfortunate turnaround happened because this servant refused to be merciful to a fellow servant who owed him way less money. He did not pass on the mercy that he had received and so his relief was reversed.  This is very instructional as many of us as Christians go around with a lot of vendetta and malice to fellow brethren for minor offences whereas we have been forgiven much worse acts. The Bible reading today was an instruction to Israelites about not oppressing a stranger remembering that they were strangers in Egypt. So do you remember the mercies that you have received? Are you extending mercy to others?

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your mercies that ensure forever. Thank you for daily loading us with your benefits. Please teach me Lord to be merciful and kind to others. Please Lord do not withdraw your benefits from me in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾. ‎
