Are you still connected?
“And when Saul saw the host of the Philistines, he was afraid, and his heart greatly trembled. And when Saul enquired of the Lord, the Lord answered him not, neither by dreams, nor by Urim, nor by prophets. Then said Samuel, Wherefore then dost thou ask of me, seeing the Lord is departed from thee, and is become thine enemy? Because thou obeyedst not the voice of the Lord, nor executedst his fierce wrath upon Amalek, therefore hath the Lord done this thing unto thee this day.” 1 Samuel 28:5-6, 16, 18 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/1sa.28.5-18.kjv
Do you recognize the connection and disconnection points with your most important ally? The Bible says that He that fails in the day of battle has few strength. Often at the battle point is when some individuals recognize that the eyes which they once had is now blind. As was the case of Saul in the Bible reading today. He wanted to seek God because he was so afraid of the Philistines who had raised battle with him. Only then did he realize that his saving grace has been Samuel after his disconnection with God who continued to pray for him. Now Samuel was dead and there was dead silence from Heaven in the day of adversity. He turned back to familiar spirits whom he had banned earlier. Always check your connections in the place of obedience and worship so that in the day of battles you can March out with the confidence that the Lord of Host is indeed mighty in your midst.
Prayer: Dear God, please give me grace to follow you in complete obedience through your word and the prompting of the Holy Spirit so that I don’t lose my most beneficial connection 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
