Are you swift to God's instructions?
“And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, hath turned my wrath away from the children of Israel, while he was zealous for my sake among them, that I consumed not the children of Israel in my jealousy. Wherefore say, Behold, I give unto him my covenant of peace: And he shall have it, and his seed after him, even the covenant of an everlasting priesthood; because he was zealous for his God, and made an atonement for the children of Israel.” Numbers 25:10-13 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/num.25.10-13.kjv

Are you zealous for God? Do you carry out God’s instruction with passion? In the Bible reading today, Isreal had joined themselves to the idols of their neighbor the Midianites and were committing all sorts of sin. As a result, there was a plague in Isreal and God’s guidance was to eliminate all that had gone after the idol. While they were still mourning the death that the plague caused, another person was flaunting his sin and immediately Phinehas went after him and executed judgement. As a result,God stopped the plague. Are there challenges around you? Are there things that God has spoken about? Are you zealous to carry God’s instruction or still on a pity party? Beyond solving the problem, there is an added blessing that comes to individuals by obeying God’s instructions quickly and with passion as seen in the case of Phinehas. God established a covenant of peace with Phinehas and his generations to come. Again, are you zealous for God?
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your instructions for life and living always. I receive a new zeal and passion to seek your face and carry out your instructions in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
