Are you taking stock of your life?

“And thou shalt remember all the way which the Lord thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no. And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live.” Deuteronomy 8:2-3 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/deu.8.2-3.kjv

Are you taking stock of your life?

How are you doing in the examination of life? Are you picking up the lessons of character or are you still going around in a circle because you have refused to learn the lessons? One clear example of a people that went through the examination of life were the Israelites in their wilderness journey as seen in the Bible reading today. They had their journey into the promised extended by 40 years so that they could learn absolute trust and complete obedience to God. These skills were critical for thriving and staying focused in the land of promise. The Bible tells us also that the trial of our faith builds patience.  So question today is: Are you responsive to the lessons of life? Are you taking the time to pause and reflect so that you can catch the lesson in your current circumstances? Remember that all things work together for good for the called of God. That is, the high and the low and everything in between.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for being such a loving father who teaches me life lessons continually because you love me and want me to thrive to your glory. Please lord, grant me a perceptive heart so that I don’t miss out on the core lessons in every circumstance of my life in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
