“But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand. Are you taking your place as a watchman for this generation, for your country, for your city, for your family and your respective spheres of influence? In the Bible reading today, we learn that if the watchman does not sound an alarm when he sees the enemy approaching then the blood of the people who die as a result of lack of preparedness will be upon the watchman’s head. Hence, it is important to take your stand, play your path and sound the alarm of impending punishment when sin abounds. You may be saving one soul from destruction. Besides, if you sound the warning and the people perish for lack of action then their blood will be on their own head. It is important also though that the watchman is first able to recognize the threat. This is where your walk with God through the word and the HolySpirit is critical to help recognize God’s instruction per time. Take your stand and sound the alarm.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for being mindful of us as your creatures. Thank you for sending your words to us in and out of season. Please Lord, help me not to be found wanting in my kingdom post in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
