In the corporate world, there is something called Groupthink when members of a group have closed their minds to broader opportunities and despite potentially having issues they cannot seem to see it because everything seems right in their eyes. Such is the example seen from a biblical lens in the Bible reading today. God talks about a people who are in deep sleep spiritually where their rulers and prophets minds are shut. So much so that they are not able to receive divine insights.  The Bible tells us that God’s word is a lamp unto our feet and a light to our path. However, we need the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Christ to decipher the things that are in the word and remain hidden to some from the foundations of the world. Further in the chapter of today’s Bible reading, the reason for the deep sleep of the mind was identified as being because they love God with their outward actions and speeches but their hearts are far away from him. So he decided to make the understanding of their wise ones to perish.  Examine your heart today. Are you really connected? Is the connection thriving? The state of your heavenly connection has knock-on effects for thriving in other aspects of life. Focus on this critical foundation and watch your life blossom from the rivers of living water that flow out of your belly.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your faithfulness always. Thank you because you are the omniscient God, the source of all wisdom. Please Lord as I look to you afresh, please let every veil over my understanding be lifted. Help me to see and know in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
