Are you truly willing and obedient?

“And they came, every one whose heart stirred him up, and every one whom his spirit made willing, and they brought the Lord's offering to the work of the tabernacle of the congregation, and for all his service, and for the holy garments. The children of Israel brought a willing offering unto the Lord, every man and woman, whose heart made them willing to bring for all manner of work, which the Lord had commanded to be made by the hand of Moses.” Exodus 35:21, 29 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/exo.35.21-29.kjv

Are you truly willing and obedient?

The Bible says that if you are willingly and obedient, you will eat the good of the land (Isaiah 1:19). But we are also made to know that the people will be willing in the days of his power (Ps 110:3). The true test of the willingness is the obedience that follows. As we see in the Bible reading today when Moses gave the instructions of God to the Isrealites regarding the things that were to be done to construct all the things that were required for the temple and others. The spirit of the Lord made them willing but they also went ahead to do. Often we are excited by the things of God but we often do not go forward to do the instructions. Jesus commands us to watch and pray because he acknowledges that the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. If you must eat the good of the land then you must put your flesh into subjection and obedience to the bidding of God aligned with your willing spirit.

Prayer: Dear God, please help me to eat the good of the land. Give me the grace to be disciplined and put my flesh under when it wants to stand in the way of my obedience to your bidding in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
