Are you withing the hedge?
“And ye shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the basin; and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning. For the Lord will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the Lord will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you.” Exodus 12:22-23 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/exo.12.22-23.kjv
Stay within the hedge of protection. Follow God’s instruction to the letter. The Bible says that he who breaks the hedge the serpent will bite. From time to time, we get tempted to live on the edge or venture out to test the waters. This is very dangerous as it is important to always stay within the hedge of God’s protection. In the last plague in Egypt, the Isrealites had been given instructions that were paramount to their final freedom. In some of the previous plagues, they did not have to do much, there was just a natural separation between the Isrealites and Egyptians as God had said. But in this final life-changing situation that was to mark a new beginning in their life, their obedience and trust was paramount. They had to be an active partaker in this separation. First they had to kill the lamb, eat it according to instruction prepared up like someone going to battle then they needed to put the blood on the door post of their houses. Lastly, they were to remain indoors so that they would not partake in the death of Egyptians. When the Devil tempted Jesus after his long fast he wanted him to test the promises of God about angel catching him when he falls but Jesus responded that “thou shall not tempt the Lord thy God”. God’s protection is infinitesimal and he is able to deliver from the worst of scenarios as witnessed by Daniel in the Lions’ den but he is also a God of principles, disciplines and instructions. And he often calls us to a partnership in those once in a lifetime kind of miracles. Are you following his instructions to the letter like Noah? If yes, then stand still and see his salvation. If not, ask for his mercy and get back within the hedge by doing exactly that which he has commanded.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for leading me into my season of victories. I receive the grace to obey you completely and to partner with you in my life-changing victories in this new wave of glory. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
