Be Sensitive to God's Spirit

”And Isaac trembled very exceedingly, and said, Who? where is he that hath taken venison, and brought it me, and I have eaten of all before thou camest, and have blessed him? yea, and he shall be blessed. And when Esau heard the words of his father, he cried with a great and exceeding bitter cry, and said unto his father, Bless me, even me also, O my father.“ Genesis 27:33-34 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/gen.27.33-34.kjv

Be Sensitive to God's Spirit

There are times and seasons in the spiritual that define or redefine the destiny of an individual forever.   The Bible tells us that God says that in the appointed time he has heard us and delivered us in the day of salvation. The Bible reading today touches on such a time when Isaac wanted to pour out a blessing on his son Esau as the first born but got tricked into blessing Jacob instead. You would assume that once the error was discovered then he would just have reversed it.  However, that was not to be the case. Even though he was angry and disappointed, Isaac affirmed that Jacob had been blessed and it would remain so. After much persuasion, Esau got a blessing but it was subject to the bigger blessing that had gone forth up to a certain point in the future. This speaks to the importance of being sensitive in the spirit so that we don’t miss out on the seasons of our visitation. Imagine Israel who missed their first go-around of entering into the promised land and spent 40 years in the wilderness before God re-permitted the entry.  So the key message is that we must continue to seek God’s face and ask for the grace not to miss our season and appopinted time.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you control times and seasons. Thank you because you have mercy on whom you would have mercy on. Please Lord, I come to you afresh. Please show me your ways, teach me your truth and help me to be sensitive to my seasons of visitation to the glory of your name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾. ‎
