Bringing glory to God?
“For Jerusalem is ruined, and Judah is fallen: because their tongue and their doings are against the Lord, to provoke the eyes of his glory. The shew of their countenance doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not. Woe unto their soul! for they have rewarded evil unto themselves.” Isaiah 3:8-9 KJV https://www.bible.com/1/isa.3.8-9.kjv

The sole purpose of the creation of man is to bring glory to God. This becomes all the more important for those who have been called and separated by God to show forth the wonders of his might. He invests kingdom resources into such folks like the case of the Isrealites... Everyone acknowledged that the almightiness of their God just by the sheer amount of deliverances that God got for them. But then they turned to idols and the master manufacturer was angry, as this carefully designed and nurtured creation was not fulfilling its purpose. The Bible says that “I am the Lord: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images”. (Isaiah 42:8) and this is also emphasized in Exodus 34:14 “For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God”. It is a dangerous thing to fall into the hands of the almighty.. Are you provoking God to jealousy today, despite his investments in you and the promises of a brighter future? Take a step back today and reflect. Ask God for mercy and turn from your wrong doings, from the things you have idolized over him.
Prayer: Dear Lord, please have mercy on my for any ways in which I am deviating from your manufacturer’s specification for my life. Help me to retrace my way back to the center of your will. Pointing the glory back to you 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
