Can you hear God?
“I am the Lord thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it. But my people would not hearken to my voice; and Israel would none of me. So I gave them up unto their own hearts' lust: and they walked in their own counsels. Oh that my people had hearkened unto me, and Israel had walked in my ways! I should soon have subdued their enemies, and turned my hand against their adversaries.” Psalm 81:10-14 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/psa.81.10-14.kjv
The Bible says they that wait on the Lord shall renew their strength. The Bible also tells us that they that know their God shall be strong and do exploits. These and many others tell us of the benefits accruable to us as believers. So why then are we often challenged? In the Bible reading today we see how God through the Psalmist tells of how Isreal continually short-changed themselves because they will not listen to God. It is in the place of stillness that we get to hear the Lord and in obeying his ‘simple’ instructions that we get access into the deeper things that reveal more of our identity and position in God. Walking in God’s ways gives you victory over the enemy. Do you know? Are you obeying? Don’t cheat yourself by throwing into the closet the access badge and cheque that unlock a world of unstoppable victory.
Prayer: Dear God, thank you for the victories that are available for me in you. Help me to be at the center of your will and walk in your path for me so that my little efforts may be magnified by the factor of your glory 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
