Do you delight in His Ways?
“He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them which hated me: for they were too strong for me. They prevented me in the day of my calamity: but the Lord was my stay. He brought me forth also into a large place; he delivered me, because he delighted in me. The Lord rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me.” Psalm 18:17-20 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/psa.18.17-20.kjv

“What shall be done to the man whom the king delights to honor?” was the question that was asked in the book of Esther when the king wanted to show to the rest of the kingdom that he was delighted with Modecai and wanted to honor him. The Bible tells us that when a man’s ways please the Lord that even his enemies are at peace with him. The Bible reading today showed the Psalmist confirming the deliverances that he had received because the Lord delighted in him. While the Bible tells us that God will have mercy upon whom he will have mercy, there are minimum requirements for his delights - a righteous life, obeying his instructions and doing his will. That is why the Lord Jesus told us to seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and then every other thing will be added unto you. So Question today is: When you look into the mirror of the word of God, would what you see delight God?
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your promise of protection always for those who dwell in your secret place. Please empower me Lord to seek you and do your will so that you will be delighted in me and deliver victory at all times 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
