Do you dwell in God's Presence?

“And it was made with cherubims and palm trees, so that a palm tree was between a cherub and a cherub; and every cherub had two faces; so that the face of a man was toward the palm tree on the one side, and the face of a young lion toward the palm tree on the other side: it was made through all the house round about. From the ground unto above the door were cherubims and palm trees made, and on the wall of the temple.” Ezekiel 41:18-20 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/ezk.41.18-20.kjv

Do you dwell in God's Presence?

The Bible reading today continues the description of a trance that prophet Ezekiel was in. In the text, it discusses the details of the temple and describes that the temple has imprints of cherubs and palm trees. The Bible tells us that the righteous will flourish like a palm tree. As such, the place of fellowship and communion with our Maker is a place of flourishing. We are also told that the righteous is as bold as a lion.  This is why God consistently calls us to a place of fellowship and communion. The presence of God is a place of pleasures and so we must always strive to dwell in the presence of God where our lives are transformed into the likeness of his image and which leads to all round pleasures. This is why the psalmist said he was glad when they said to him “Let us go into the house of the Lord”. Do you regularly dwell in God’s presence?

Prayer: Dear Lord thank you because you are the creator of the heaven and earth and yet you are mindful of me. Thank you for the call to fellowship and communion. Lord please help me to yield to your call. I lay my distractions and burdens at your feet. Let my life flourish in the place of fellowship as the palm tree 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾. ‎
