Do you have a hearing ear?
“But they refused to hearken, and pulled away the shoulder, and stopped their ears, that they should not hear. Yea, they made their hearts as an adamant stone, lest they should hear the law, and the words which the LORD of hosts hath sent in his spirit by the former prophets: therefore came a great wrath from the LORD of hosts.” Zechariah 7:11-12 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/zec.7.11-12.kjv

In the book of Revelation, when the letters were being written to the churches, it always contained a very important sentence “He that hath an ear let him hear what the spirit is saying to the churches”. It is very instructional because having an ear does not suggest that there is active listening or reflection on the message. The Bible reading today is an example of such where God calls out the behaviors of the Israelites in which they refused to hear the messages that God hath been sending through the prophets to them. As a result of this, God was so angry with them and he said that just as they would not listen to the prophets, so also was God not listening to them at the time that they were now crying to him. God is constantly speaking through his word, impressions in our hearts, through his prophets and through diverse happenings around us. The question is “Are you listening?”.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are always speaking to us your children. Please Lord help me to hear. Open my heart and mind to catch the revelations that you send my way and give me the boldness to carry out your instructions so that my life will be pleasing to you and help me to reap the benefits of a life in whom you are well pleased in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
