Do you have the staying power?

“In those days the multitude being very great, and having nothing to eat, Jesus called his disciples unto him, and saith unto them, I have compassion on the multitude, because they have now been with me three days, and have nothing to eat: and if I send them away fasting to their own houses, they will faint by the way: for divers of them came from far.” Mark 8:1-3 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/mrk.8.1-3.kjv

Do you have the staying power?

There is benefit in tarrying. There is benefit in being focused on your kingdom journey and making necessary sacrifices. The readiness and commitment to stay with the process opens heaven’s doors of divine supplies. Today’s Bible reading is often told from the perspective of the multiplication of sparse resources to meet the needs of thousands. However, an additional insight received is in the call out that Jesus made about how the people had stayed with him for 3 days without having anything to eat.  They were consumed by the teaching and the miracles they sought that they paid the price to stay with Jesus for those number of days despite their discomfort. Thus, Jesus responded with compassion on them and met their needs so much so that there was left over. This buttresses the guidance in the Bible to seek first the kingdom of God and then every other thing will be added to us. Are you tarrying? Does the zeal of your heavenly father’s house consume you? Then rest assured that he is the rewarder of those who diligently seek him.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because the cattle on the thousand belong to you and you own the silver and the gold. Thank you for the constant call for fellowship. As I seek you Lord, let my life be transformed and let the blessings follow in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾. ‎
