Do you have understanding?
“And Mordecai went out from the presence of the king in royal apparel of blue and white, and with a great crown of gold, and with a garment of fine linen and purple: and the city of Shushan rejoiced and was glad. The Jews had light, and gladness, and joy, and honour. And in every province, and in every city, whithersoever the king's commandment and his decree came, the Jews had joy and gladness, a feast and a good day. And many of the people of the land became Jews; for the fear of the Jews fell upon them.” Esther 8:15-17 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/est.8.15-17.kjv

Are you a voice for the people? The Bible tells us that when the righteous rule, the people rejoice. That is because the righteous ensure that there is justice for all. The Bible reading today speaks of the joy amongst the Jews as a result of Modecai’s rising to power. After Haman had been executed and Modecai’s favored by the king, the true test of their (Modecai’s and Esther’s) commitment and calling was the extra step to fight for the Jews and write a decree under the kings seal to supersede the initial decree that spelt doom to the Jews. Modecai could have just taken his own immunity in the palace and left the people to sort themselves out. However, he took the same advise that he has given Esther saying “God put me here for a time like this”. So question today is: Have you recognized the reason you have the position, proximity or privilege that you have? Are you using it for the glory of God?
Prayer: Dear Lord thank you for creating me in your likeness and for granting me dominion in life. Please Lord, open my eyes to see the dominion that I have received and help me to walk with you to fulfill my kingdom assignment to the glory of your name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
