What’s your posture to our multi-faceted God? We are told that he is precious to those who believe and a rock of offense to those who do not. We are told that our God is plenteous in mercy and yet also a consuming fire. In the Bible reading today, David was scared of taking the ark of God home with him because he had seen the consuming fire part of God in display when God killed Uzzah for reaching out to touch the ark of God as an act of help to the one who needs no assistance.  Hence, the ark made a detour in the journey to be put in the house of Obededom for three months. In that time, the presence of the Lord in that home was evident through the blessing that came upon the home. So question today is: Are you acknowledging the awesome power of this God who has called us to be his own? Or are you becoming complacent and ‘helping God’? Or are you becoming too familiar with God and pre-emptying him? Remember,he is a loving father yet with full potency of the creator of everything we see and don’t see. Reverence is key to receiving the blessing.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are a loving father. Thank you for revealing yourself daily. Father, I repent of every carelessness in the matters of the kingdom and in my reverence to you. Please have mercy on me and show me your goodness always that it may be well with me in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
