Do you know your kingdom identity?
“And he stood and cried unto the armies of Israel, and said unto them, Why are ye come out to set your battle in array? am not I a Philistine, and ye servants to Saul? choose you a man for you, and let him come down to me. And David spake to the men that stood by him, saying, What shall be done to the man that killeth this Philistine, and taketh away the reproach from Israel? for who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?” 1 Samuel 17:8, 26 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/1sa.17.8-26.kjv
Recognize your spiritual identity and capacity and don’t let the enemies frame it otherwise you will be sold short. Sometimes the battles of life are already lost in people’s minds because of the way they categorize such battles. They think of how a ‘small’ or unknown person like themselves can tackle such a big challenge and they give up before the battle even starts. In the Bible reading today, the Isrealites army were afraid whenever Goliath came to threaten them. He always referred to them as servants of Saul. While Saul stood heads and shoulders above most of Isreal at the time, he could not compare to the giant Goliath. So, if the frame of reference was them being the servants of Saul as a basis for engaging in this battle, then they considered themselves incapacitated. However, to a trained ear and mind like David who had seen God come though for him when there was no one else to help in the wilderness against lions and bears, he recognized that it was the army of the most High God that was being defiled. Certainly, the most High God that seats in Heaven and makes the earth his footstool is no comparison for a human giant. Hence, David went in the confidence of whom he knew was backing him and the rest is history. Is there a challenge that you have been tackling by yourself? Change focus. Take it to our Big God. After all the Bible says “Come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest”. He did not specify the size of the burden because his omnipotence defies the size of any problems known or yet to be defined. Glory!!!!
Prayer: Dear God, I turn from focusing on the issues around me. I look to you my Lord, please come through for me 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
