Do you long for Him?

“As the hart panteth after the water brooks, So panteth my soul after thee, O God. My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: When shall I come and appear before God? Why art thou cast down, O my soul? And why art thou disquieted in me? Hope thou in God: For I shall yet praise him For the help of his countenance.” Psalm 42:1-2, 5 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/psa.42.1-5.kjv

Do you long for Him?

There are certain signals in our lives that suggest that it’s a time to return to God, reflect and recharge. Unfortunately at those times, a lot of us resort to self help which makes the problem even worse. In the Bible reading today, the psalmist equals the longing for God with how a deer pants after water. A panting suggests that the deer is thirsty and desperate for a refill. The indications further in the reading of a longing after God is a disquieting, a restlessness. The recipe at those times is to trust in God completely. So, are you going through life’s challenges? Are you stressed out by the things happening around you?  Look to God and draw from his stream of hope. Recall that he is the creator of the Heaven and earth. He knows the end from the beginning and he is the Potter that shapes our life even one that has been battered can be reshaped by him. Let the disquieting draw you to the streams of life like the deer that seeks to quench its thirst.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are the God of peace who is able to grant peace regardless of the situations around you. Please Lord, I receive the grace for complete trust in you and a peace that passes all understanding 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
