Do you recognize your patterns?
“In the two and fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah Pekah the son of Remaliah began to reign over Israel in Samaria, and reigned twenty years. And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord: he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin. And Hoshea the son of Elah made a conspiracy against Pekah the son of Remaliah, and smote him, and slew him, and reigned in his stead, in the twentieth year of Jotham the son of Uzziah.” 2 Kings 15:27-28, 30 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/2ki.15.27-28.kjv

Most patterns that we see have an underlying cause. As seen in the chapter of the Bible reading today, Israel kept having high turnover of kings and mostly by conspiracy within the ranks. One thing was common, every successive king had an underlying fact of not departing from the sins of Jeroboam who made Isreal to sin. Are there certain unpleasant patterns around you or in a situation? It is important to look for the real root cause of such issue and ensure that all patterns of sin has been eliminated and then seek God’s face for help. Sin is a big hinderance to God’s help in a person’s life or in a situation.
Prayer: Dear God, thank you because you are a good God and your thoughts towards me are for good and not for evil. Please Lord open my eyes to any patterns of sin that may be hindering the manifestation of your goodness in my life. I receive the strength to repent and turn fully back to you my help in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
