Do you seek God's direction?
“then spake Azariah the son of Hoshaiah, and Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the proud men, saying unto Jeremiah, Thou speakest falsely: the LORD our God hath not sent thee to say, Go not into Egypt to sojourn there: but Baruch the son of Neriah setteth thee on against us, for to deliver us into the hand of the Chaldeans, that they might put us to death, and carry us away captives into Babylon.” Jeremiah 43:2-3 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/jer.43.2-3.kjv

Do you seek God’s divine direction or are you just looking for his endorsement of your own plans and intents? Often, we come to God with requests and once the answers do not align with our own thoughts, we decide to go our own way as was the case in today’s Bible reading. The remnants of Israel had been seeking instruction in the previous chapter and God through prophet Jeremiah had said that they should stay put in the land and not go into a seeming good land of Egypt. Well, as the answer that they got did not align with their thoughts, they rejected it outrightly. God consistently tells us that his ways are not our ways. He sees the end from the beginning and so he knows the twists and turns up ahead that makes a great situation today take a turn for the worse and vice versa. When we seek God, we must be willing to follow his instructions because therein lies safety and prosperity. So what’s it going to be? Follow God’s guidance on that critical decision on your mind or go your own way regardless?
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your faithfulness always. Thank you because you are the all-knowing God. Please Lord, grant me the grace for complete obedience to your guidance and instruction that I may thrive in life in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
