Does God see you as His own?

“Let the sighing of the prisoner come before thee; According to the greatness of thy power preserve thou those that are appointed to die; And render unto our neighbours sevenfold into their bosom Their reproach, wherewith they have reproached thee, O Lord. So we thy people and sheep of thy pasture will give thee thanks for ever: We will shew forth thy praise to all generations.” Psalm 79:11-13 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/psa.79.11-13.kjv

Does God see you as His own?

The Bible tells us that the eye of the Lord runs to and fro the earth to show himself strong on behalf of those whose hearts are perfect before him. In the Bible reading today, the psalmist made a desperate cry for the intervention of God over the people to deliver them from their oppressors. He asked God to avenge those who have reproached God so that the people will praise God. There is a critical question relative to this reading and it is a question of ‘whose identity do you carry?’. Often, we sing the collective songs of deliverance and pray accordingly with phrases such as ‘God come down and fight your enemies’.  So, does God really consider your enemies his enemies? Does your life bring glory to him on a regular basis such that like the intro reading he is moved to show himself strong on your behalf? These are critical affirmations that must be made to be sure that our context indeed provides a prime opportunity for God’s glory. If you are unsure, retrace your steps in the place of repentance and come under his coverage, an insurance policy where his presence yields victory because you are indeed branded for him. What’s your brand?

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your constant assurance to arise for your own. Father, please have mercy on me and cleanse me of any blemish that may be in the way of being fully branded for you. Please take on my battles and show yourself strong on my behalf so that the glory will be yours alone in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
