Don't be laid back
“For thus saith the LORD to the men of Judah and Jerusalem, Break up your fallow ground, and sow not among thorns. Circumcise yourselves to the LORD, and take away the foreskins of your heart, ye men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: lest my fury come forth like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings.” Jeremiah 4:3-4 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/jer.4.3-4.kjv

There is a call to Christians to engage their hearts and make it conducive for God’s move to prevent the judgement of God upon them as a result of leaving vacant/fallow a life that should otherwise be productive as seen in the Bible reading today. We are enjoined to cultivate our heart to prevent sowing amongst the thorns of distraction and evil doing that could crush the good seed of God from germinating in our lives. This requires a separation and circumcision of our life from every protective covering of filth. God sends this as a warning to enable us as individuals and our generations be saved from the judgement of God’s anger. This is a very crucial call at this point in time where the world is living in so much decadence. So, is your heart circumcised? Are you putting in the work to ensure that the good seed of God’s words shine through to save our generation from destruction? It is a clarion call. What would your response be?
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because of your patience and long suffering towards us as humans. Thank you for sending your son to save us. Please Lord have mercy upon us and turn away your wrath from our generation. Please restore us to the place of your pleasure and help our stony hearts to become fertile grounds for your pleasure in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
