The Bible tells us in the book of Ecclesiastes that whosoever watches the wind will not sow and the one who looks at the clouds will not reap. The text goes on to say that we cannot understand how God works. That is why he is the supreme God who rules over all and chooses to show us bits per time. The assurance that we have though is that once he has said it he will bring it to pass because he is not man that he should lie or the son of man that he should repent. Hence, we should not judge by our immediate circumstances when taking steps under divine instructions.  The Bible reading today talks about God’s promise to Jerusalem about the once barren land for a period which was to spring forth and break forth on the left and the right and how the seeds of Jerusalem will inherit the gentiles. However this was preceded by the instruction to enlarge the tents and stretch out the curtains of their habitation. When God says that you should move, be careful not to be assessing his instruction against the signs that you see today because God controls times and seasons and he can turn and overturn suddenly to establish his divine mandate. Will you be ready?

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are the glorious and all-sufficient God who moves mountains and make valleys to become plains. Lord, I come to you afresh. Please help me to hear and understand your instructions for me and give me the boldness to do them even when the indices around me don’t add up. Show forth your glory to the world through me, Lord, in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 ‎
