Don't become a prey

โ€œRemember what Amalek did unto thee by the way, when ye were come forth out of Egypt; How he met thee by the way, and smote the hindmost of thee, even all that were feeble behind thee, when thou wast faint and weary; and he feared not God.โ€ Deuteronomy 25:17-18 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/deu.25.17-18.kjv

Don't become a prey

It is very dangerous to bring up the rear of the community of the children of God due to feebleness or distraction. This makes such a one an easy target for the enemy. In the Bible Reading today, we are told about how the Amalekites had dealt with Israel and how they killed those that were feeble at the rear. Often, we leverage the corporate anointing in the gathering of the children of God but it is important that our own standing is strong and that we are no constantly living on the edge or breaking the hedge. The Bible tells us that "whoever break the hedge, the serpent will bite."ย  While God made a commitment to avenge Israel with the Amalekites, the casualty of battle were already gone. So the question today is: Are you strengthening your spiritual self through the word of God, the teaching of the Holy Spirit and prayers? Or are you coasting along living a carefree life and hoping to benefit from Sunday-Sunday dose of the corporate anointing? Be careful. Let everyone check himself so as not to be an easy prey for the devil.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for being our shield and banner always. Thank you for the protection that we enjoy in you. Please Lord, help me to be focused in my walk with you. Deliver me from every wiles of the Devil in Jesus name ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ.
