Don't dismiss His instructions
“Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.” Joshua 1:7 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/jos.1.7.kjv

God is not an author of confusion. His assignments to his people are on a continuum. Even when the messenger changes, the assignment largely remains consistent. This is why the Bible tells us not to remove the ancient landmarks which our fathers have set. God's instructions to our fathers of faith often remain in effect except where there is a direct expression of a reversal to you. Hence, you must be careful, in your zeal as you come into new kingdom assignments, that you don’t forget the instructions that have been passed down. In today’s Bible reading, God was speaking to Joshua after Moses died. He was being commissioned to take the Israelites over Jordan into the promised land and to divide the inheritance. That was his own bit of the broader assignment. Hence, while God was speaking to him, he kept referencing everything that Moses has said previously. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever more. The mode of the assignments may defer but the core message is consistent. Don’t disregard your instructions. If you do, you do so at your own peril.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are the Alpha and Omega, the one who knows the end from the beginning. Thank you for the instructions that you send to me regularly. Please give me a learning heart and listening ears so that I don’t miss out on critical instructions set before time on the journey of my kingdom assignment in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
