Don't fall victim

“For he said, Surely they are my people, children that will not lie: so he was their Saviour. In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old. But they rebelled, and vexed his holy Spirit: therefore he was turned to be their enemy, and he fought against them.” Isaiah 63:8-10 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/isa.63.8-10.kjv

Don't fall victim

The Bible tells us that it’s of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed because his compassion fails not. How then can your best ally turn around and fight you? The Bible reminds us that there are terms of service for the relationship with God - holiness and righteous living. In his mercies, he reached out and restores us when we misstep. However, apostle Paul asks a critical question: Do we then take God’s grace for granted and continue living in sin?  That is a dangerous slope because the Bible tells of those that God yielded to a reprobate mind to do the things that are not convenient because they refused to retain him in their knowledge. In the Bible reading today, We see how God in his infinite mercies sent his angels to deliver them from their afflictions and carried them. But then things take a different turn when he fights them because they kept dragging themselves back to sin despite knowing God’s expectations for them. Don’t take God for granted.  Don’t rebel against him. It is a dangerous thing when the greatest ally fights against you even if tor a brief second.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for being my shield and buckler. Please Lord continue to teach me your ways and help to walk in them. Let my life thrive from the fellowship with you in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾. ‎
