Don't forget your Altar

“Then Solomon began to build the house of the Lord at Jerusalem in mount Moriah, where the Lord appeared unto David his father, in the place that David had prepared in the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite.” 2 Chronicles 3:1 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/2ch.3.1.kjv

Don't forget your Altar

. And the building of the temple was commenced by King Solomon. What was instructive was that David had selected a unique site for the building of the temple. It was a location of encounter when the Angel of death that was killing Israelites as a result of David’s indiscretion was stopped. It was a unique reminder of God’s mercy that the bigger temple of worship be enacted there. Often, we experience God’s deliverances in situations that looked impossible. It is important that we put reminders of those encounters in our hearts and physically where possible as a reminder for future times and generations to come.  So many prophets returned to their familiar place of worship from time to time. So, are you going through a challenge that appears insurmountable, go back to your altar of encounter and recognize God’s ability to come through for you when you are at the center of his will. Those times are a reminder of worship as a service in addition to God’s benevolent grace as a gift. He is the same God yesterday, today and forever more.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your goodness and mercies always. I am sorry for any act of forgetfulness of your past faithfulness. Please help me through the prompting of the Holy Spirit to remember and consecrate those memories of your divine intervention and please lord revisit me on those altars of worship and fellowship in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
