Don't forget your vows
“And Moses spake unto the heads of the tribes concerning the children of Israel, saying, This is the thing which the LORD hath commanded. If a man vow a vow unto the LORD, or swear an oath to bind his soul with a bond; he shall not break his word, he shall do according to all that proceedeth out of his mouth.” Numbers 30:1-2 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/num.30.1-2.kjv

God takes your vows seriously. The Bible tells us in the book of Ecclesiastes that if you make a vow, you should not delay in performing it as God does not like fools. It goes on to say that it is better not to vow than to vow and not pay. Today’s Bible reading also highlights the same. Often, when we are in dire situations we make vows to God on the things that we would do when he comes through for us. Never forget to redeem them. God cannot be manipulated.
Prayer: Dear God, thank you for your faithfulness. Thank you for your love and mercies. Please Lord, we come before you to seek mercy regarding any act of disobedience and insincerity in our commitments to you in our times of ignorance. Please bring to our rememberance our vows and grant the grace and discipline to do them in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
