Don't give Sin a chance
“They lie down by every altar on clothes taken in pledge, And drink the wine of the condemned in the house of their god. “Yet it was I who destroyed the Amorite before them, Whose height was like the height of the cedars, And he was as strong as the oaks; Yet I destroyed his fruit above And his roots beneath.” Amos 2:8-9 NKJV https://bible.com/bible/114/amo.2.8-9.NKJV

Do you remember God’s deliverances and might works in your life. Take a moment to reflect so that you don’t get carried away. In the Bible reading today, the Lord highlights how Israel has strayed significantly from his laws and were committing so many abominable acts. He then reminds them of the victories that he granted them in the last from their enemies. Sometimes, we get carried away in the moment and our priorities are on mundane things. Yet if we take the time to reflect on the journey of life to this point and God’s mighty hands of deliverance, we would realize that we owe our entire future to God. Take the time today and retrace your steps from any straying. God’s hands are not too short to save. Don’t let your sin create a wedge between you and your deliverer.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your faithfulness always. Thank you because you do terrible things in righteousness. Lord thank you for your past deliverances. As I look to you afresh, please forgive me and help me like only you can, in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
